Q. What Can Your Company Expect?
A. You can expect a brief phone conversation or e-mail so I understand the issues you face, then the option of dropping it off at a discount or having a respectful professional that understands your issue to come out and work on your system, train you and set up your system in a timely manner. A lot can be done remotely as well. In most circumstances your issue will be resolved before we leave your establishment.
Q. What Guarantee Do We Provide?
A. We fully test all of our work and make sure you are satisfied before the end of the job to ensure it is working the way you desire. I will come back if needed and if the original issue was not resolved. As we have you test the work before we leave, this should rarely be an issue. We strive for the best Customer Experience. Most are so pleased with my work they write recommendation letters and recommend their family, friends and colleagues to use our services earning them a free 1 hour consultation!
Q. Why Do I Need a Maintenance Contract?
A. Peace of mind! Confidence that your computer will work every morning when you come to do your daily work load. Worry free that your data is backed up and secure in case of theft or fire. You save money per hour the more hours you buy at a time. Without consistent computer care your system can become slow, sluggish and unreliable.
Q. What Comes With Your Maintenance Contract?
A. 1 hour labor, 2-12 times a year - includes:
Checking Drive Integrity (repairing if needed)
Optimizing / Defragmentation (up to 2 hours depending on drive size)
Check for dust inside your desktop & blow it out if needed
Advise and Implement Back Up Solutions
Advise Efficiency on Daily Tasks
Advice on Time Saving Tips & Tricks
We saw the need for this service when we went onsite and found drives so defragmented that they would barely respond. Drives can fail, so checking the integrity is a great early warning. Nothing is 100%, that is why we recommend a daily back up, as well as an offsite back up in case there is theft, fire or some unseen disaster. We can supply this back-up. You can also use the maintenance contracts for memory, hard drive and OS (Operating System upgrades.) I will also advise on specialized software to check your own hardware upon request.
Q. Do you have programs that seem confusing?
A. At The Tech Shack, we enjoy teaching and working with people. Let us show you what technologies will help you to work better and then teach you to use them like a pro. Don't worry, plain English is our preferred way of speech. If for any reason you need assistance with a new software application we have not researched yet, let us know and we will research it for you and still be able to assist with that in a professional, timely manner.
Q. What are Gift Coupons?
A. Gift Coupons are like gift certificates you can give as birthday gifts, reward an employee and give IT training for a possible future promotion, for grandma who needs that extra training, for an employee or child who wants to become an IT Professional and either get into the profession or maybe to start the IT group at your company. These coupons are for 1 hour up to as many as you need. You can use these also for normal onsite services, but cannot be bought/used same day. This takes 2-3 business days to process. You save $10.00 off the normal price when bought in advanced.
Q. What are the prices for your services?
A. $49.00 an Hour! We done extensive research of our competition in the Portland & Vancouver area and most are at $100.00 and up an hour. We charge less than half of that. We also give discounts for Students, Educators and non-Profits. See below.
If you drop off your equipment we will lower the price to $40.00 an Hour!

We have Service / Maintenance Contracts available for your company or even training gifts certificates for "Mom & Dad" as well as Telephone Technical Support to fixing it remotely with out me coming out and with out you having us over - all through the internet, as you watch!

At times working on a computer can be like working on a car. Once you fix one issue, it masks another that could not be seen until the first one was fixed. We added this section to set realistic expectations and so people understand what could happen. This is rare, but we need you to understand the possibilities. As data on a hard drive can be tricky and at times unreliable, we cannot guarantee the files on your computer will not be corrupted. This is rare but it does happen. We suggest backing up all data before we do any work on your computer.
