The Tech Shack helped me in a big way. I sent my portable in for warranty repair, where they ended up erasing my hard drive without asking me - you guessed it, I did not have a back up. I was furious! A painful but valuable lesson for a small business owner who depends on a computer. I then talked to a close business colleague who referred me the The Tech Shack. They were very professional and put me at ease once I explained my situation. They understood the situation and explained how they can help prevent this from ever happening again.
The Tech Shack assisted me with Data Recovery, upgrading to the latest OS X and implementing Leopard's new Time Machine for daily backups, as well as offsite solutions via their cloud servers. The data on the drive has some projects I was finishing up with and a lot of client paid photography that was invaluable not only in the money involved but the clients that were saved without even knowing it. They were counting on me, therefore I went to the best for help. As I was a new customer, they told me that they offer up to 15% off their first consultation! I was even more impressed as they charged me a fraction of what it was all worth. I feel there is much more to learn so I went to The Tech Shack University (TTSU) training page and enrolled in weekly training sessions I now attend online and via video conferencing and in person when time allows, to ensure I stay up to date and educated on the basics, best practices and being more proficient with me business so this will never happen again.


The rest I lave in the hands of The Tech Shack, who I owe more than they will ever know, and highly recommend to everyone!

Kevin and I have been friends for over 20 years.  I have had a stroke and certain things I need extra help with, including this note.  ;-)  I have had Apple Macintosh’s for years as it has great learning software on it as well as software for people with special needs and I also have support from the state in regards to the computer.  Kevin has come by to assist me in setting up a new computer, backing up and migrating data, upgrading the hard drive, the processor, RAM (Memory) and software installs/configuring so I can use them with only 1 hand, as well as speech recognition.  I owe a lot to Kevin and his company.
